Motorcyclist Killed in Crash was without Helmet
Each year, despite warnings, thousands of people take to the roads on motorcycles without helmets. Unfortunately, a motorcycle accident in San Antonio, Texas led to the loss of a man's life and police say that he was not wearing a helmet at the time that the collision occured.
Reports show that the victim, a 49-year-old San Antonio resident, was riding his motorcycle on a local avenue when he lost control of his bike. It appears as though he hit some railroad tracks and was thrown from his motorcycle head first. As a result of the motorcycle accident and not wearing a helmet, he sustained fatal injuries. When officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they saw that the victim had already passed away.
At this time, the victim's identity has not been released. Officers are waiting until his next of kin has been notified after which his identity may be revealed to the press.
