Steam Explosion Lawsuit Ends
After a steam explosion took the lives of two men in downtown Washington D.C. several years ago, a joint lawsuit was compiled against the company responsible for the accident.
It has taken several years for the legal battle to come to an end. It involved just one plaintiff against six defendants arguing about liability in the wrongful death case. A judge reviewing the case this month has agreed to sign off on the $20 million settlement that will go to the families of the two victims. The terms of the settlement will remain private once the decision is approved and sealed by a judge.
