A 17-year-old boy was riding his bike to school when he was hit by a black SUV that failed to stop at a stop sign. The collision knocked the teenager off of his bike and into the road where he lay for several seconds. An observer of the accident reported that after hitting the boy, the SUV reversed then drove around the boy and fled the scene. The witness honked at the SUV to try to get them to stop but it was too late.

Fortunately the teenager was able to walk away from the accident. He finished his ride to school where he called his parents and told them what happened. The boy's parents took him to a local hospital for treatment of his minor injuries. The SUV that struck the boy is still at large. Police are looking for any information regarding the accident that might lead to the capture of the responsible driver.
