Car Accident Caused by Alcohol
Alcohol is to blame for the car accident that took the life of one person last week in San Antonio, Texas.
When officers were called to the scene of the accident, they quickly discovered what had caused it. The driver of the second vehicle, a 25-year-old male, was intoxicated when he struck the first vehicle from behind. As a result, the driver and passenger of the minivan were both thrown from the vehicle and killed.
Police reports show that the driver, a 30-year-old woman, lost her life on the scene of the drunk driving accident. Her passenger, a 31-year-old male, was brought to a local hospital with serious injuries. The identity of the victim has yet to be released.
The suspect has since been charged with failure to stop and render aid, as well as intoxication manslaughter. If he is found guilty of both charges, he could spend up to 20 years behind bars, as well as pay a $10,000 fine.
