A man suspected of drunk driving is responsible for the death of one person and the critical injuries of another after the drunk driver's car rear-ended a sports utility vehicle on a local highway in the early hours of the morning. The impact came at such a high speed that the SUV was pushed off the road, rolled down an embankment, then crashed through a guardrail and flipped three times.

The two people in the SUV were both ejected from the vehicle during the crash. One died at the scene and another was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. Evidently the man responsible for the drunk driving accident stopped for a few minutes after the crash then drove away. He was apprehended by police officers six miles down the road and charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter and another count of intoxication assault.
