Truck Accident May Have Been Prevented
News sources are reporting that a man lost his life last week in a truck accident that could have been avoided.
According to the San Antonio police department, the man was driving on a major highway when he drove into a crash absorber, slammed into a construction truck and then ricocheted into a concrete median. When police arrived, he was declared dead on the scene.
Eyewitnesses say that the man was speeding and simply did not have enough time to avoid crashing into the construction site. Had the man been following the posted speed limit, he might still be alive today. While the 44-year-old male driver lost his life, nobody else was seriously injured during the truck accident.
