Biker Sideswiped on Freeway
A man and his girlfriend were out for a leisurely motorcycle ride when they were sideswiped by while riding on a freeway.
Several witnesses stayed behind to help the 48-year-old man and his female passenger until paramedics arrived. They described the van to the responding officers and told police about a passenger that had run out of the van at the time. After they caught up with the 26-year-old suspect, he named someone else as the driver. However, police believe that the person responsible for the potentially fatal motorcycle accident was actually a 22-year-old female.
If the man is found to be involved in causing the accident, he could be facing serious criminal penalties. A background check revealed that he has been arrested 11 times since 2002 for a variety of crimes. The male motorcycle rider is expected to make a full recovery. Thankfully, his passenger received just minor injuries during the crash.
